I always said that friendlies are very important and not just fitness exercises “whistle”
Friendly aside, there are not and nor will there ever be, any circumstances where giving Airdrie a dry length is not pleasing.

Quite open about taking this one as a relevant victory tbh

HT 3-1

1st goal - Petravicius with a few step-overs and slotted from about 6 yards out..pretty mince defending in truth

2nd goal - O’hara broke free, cut in from the left and curled into the top corner from close in

3rd goal - sublime cross from TOE’s big toe on the left and Dallison smashed a headed in. Hope we see that a few more times this season!

Overall a decent watch, look solid down the right while Dennon looks like he needs a few matches to get up to speed.

Really not impressed by the trialist however. You’d think someone fighting for a contract would burst a gut but he’s just not getting involved nearly enough. Opinions of course.

Could it be fitness?

Fitness and new environment, he’s switched to LB and looks more comfortable. Robson played further up but now replaced by Froxy

Goal conceded was bad communication between Robson and Russell which allowed the Airdrie played to break through

Fingers crossed for a pleasing double today, the Bairns to put in a performance and beat Airdrieonians with goals to spare while at the same time Sweden are beating England - don't want there to be any doubts about the England result so that the English media can claim them to be unlucky losers, I want them to be second best all round - C'mon the Norsemen!

Ach well, to quote Mick Jagger, "You can't always get what you want".

Exactly this. f**k airdrie. Wankfucks

Wow, the education system in bairnland has improved.

Starting to string a whole sentence, without using expletives.

First half looked decent, Dallison looks a player.

Second half was your usual friendly with loads of subs. None of the trialists looked that great.

Needs to add a couple up front, hopefully one with a bit of experience.

Early days though and the team is clearly still gelling.

Thought we were good first half against an ok Airdrie team. Dallison looks composed at centre half and Petravicius seems like a good pacy player. O'Hara took his goal well and was more of a threat that he has been, but his his lack of quality let him down at times.

Second half I thought was very poor unfortunately. We had no presence at all upfront and the defence looked shaky. Watt certainly doesn't look up to it at right back. Still a striker and rb short imo.

I was very impressed with Scott Stewart for Airdie at left wing- seems like a very intelligent and skilful player.
