It will be nearer the end of June before signings are made. We should be getting our business done early. We could sign guys now and they could still get weeks off for their holidays. We should be in a position now to pay players their worth and easily pay players an attractive wage for bottom 6 top league top 2/3 championship. This being the case get the offers made and time limit them and move on if they don't sign. If we have any ambition to challenge for the title we should have well researched targets, who aren't required to 'prove' themselves in a friendly. Using this kind of approach almost guarantees we're shopping in a market of players who won't help us win the title, and more than likely are no better than we have already.
