If you read the entire statement

I can't anymore, I've read numerous posting of yours fawning over the South or Ireland and now can't quite stomach past the first line, as you'll see.

On that basis we should forget about ever trying to beat teams who are above us in the rankings. In fact, why bother holding the matches, just award the trophies to the highest ranked teams?

What are you on about? You said there’s an ‘attitude that we should be beating diddy teams’. Well obviously, because we are better than them, therefore we’d expect to beat them. That’s kind of how it works. It doesn’t mean that there’s no chance of them springing an upset against us, just like we also have a chance of springing an upset against better teams than us.

The day there’s not an expectation of Scotland beating a dreadful side like Lithuania is the day we should 100% give up on football.

It’s a weird situation for me in that I like to see Southern Ireland fail more because it annoys the weird Scottish people who fawn over them (mainly Celtic fans tbf) than actual Irish people.

Didn't realise you were a fan of incest, Stormfront.

Now that's a scary example of projection right there.

I think there's a difference between having an "expectation" of beating a lower ranked team, and assuming that we "should be beating" them, like it is some sort of right. The latter is what I have issue with, it is the same sort of arrogance we criticise others for.

Fair enough. Sounds like a thin line to me though.

A bit like Rangers and Aberdeen in that respect but there's deffo more hatred in that one.

Indeed. The Glasgow media trying to whip up a rivalry is quite sad. Shame nobody from the NE bites. The Daily Record will plough on though.
