Exactly. You can just picture the blank looks from the commissioners if the makers of Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Shameless or Gomorrah La Serie brought their ideas to them. “Yes but where is the middle class English actor doing a Ewan McGregor impression?”.

In fairness, not sure Breaking Bad would work in the UK.

"Terrible news sir, I'm afraid you have cancer".

"Shit... I suppose I'll have to start off as a low-level meth dealer and move up to become a gangland mastermind in order to afford treatment and feed my family".

"Erm, no. What the f**k are you talking about? We have an NHS".

"Oh, okay then."

Series ends.

They just all look the same. Same production, same rules. Managed an episode and a bit of Normal People recently before wanting to take a claw hammer to all of them.

When it comes to the middle two, I am afeared that I will have to inflict some grevious harm upon you. Save me some time & petrol money by doing some everyday task that will undoubtedly result in similar injuries & afterwards post a picture of muffy and the rentboi looking suitably disappointed in you.

Missed opportunity on Corrie rn to have a Breaking Bad storyline involving Steve McDonald (Simon... Drugson?)
