I think he could have proved to be a decent manager at Dundee if he'd been given more time. I also thought he was OK as a pundit. "Strawberries taste nice." is an opinion and one which anybody is entitled to. Just as others are entitled to disagree. "Strawberries are a fruit." is a fact. Opinion doesn't come into it and if you think otherwise, you're simply wrong. Of course, in Trump's post-truth "alternative facts" world, the rules have changed somewhat. No, everyone isn't entitled to their opinion; you're entitled to your informed opinion, which are two very different things.. Agree - if we were only entitled/allowed to express informed opinions, we would lose a lot of the cut and thrust that makes up much of our daily discussions.
