Don't know if it's an unpopular opinion but Connery's best film was The Rock.

Bollocks, it's clearly The Hunt for the Red October with Sam Neill.

I used to love Goldeneye as a kid, watched it a couple of years ago and found it to be tragic shite.
It's made me afraid to go back and watch any other of the old Bond's since. Are they all pish?
I think Goldeneye's reputation is largely based on it being the first new Bond film for several years when it was released and, probably more importantly depending on your age, a cracking video game.

He was Egyptian, although McLeod mistook him for a Spaniard.

Also you lose points for using an GIF that appears to be from the not to be mentioned sequel...

Connery's choice of projects was patchy, but The Hill is a stoater. Still out of print in the UK, I believe - I recently rented it from a DVD rental service, and they sent me a pirate copy! When a company's willing to break the law to send their customers a film, you know it must be good!

Can’t beat Connery in The Offense

Absolutely tremendous film, where he definitely doesn't play James Bond.

But his best film is THE best film of all time, where James Bond and Han Solo fight Nazis while searching for the Holy Grail.

This is - without doubt - the most offensive post on here in 2020.

What are you thinking man?

This is the very thread for saying such things.

I knew it was to challenge a P&B orthodoxy, but it is a decent comedy.  Not an all-time great obviously, but amusing enough.  I don't think the upper class English woman thing plays well with lots of Scottish blokes.
