I wasn't aware there was a statue to King Billy in Glasgow, I'm not actually fussed either way about it but the meltdown from the 'staunch' were it to be removed would justify doing so based purely on that 😀

The bloke they tossed in the sea in Bristol sold his share of the slave trade to King Billy. Not a lot of people know that.

There's a statue of Bobby Moore near the old Upton Park in London. Tartan Army needs to get down there and do their duty.

Putting a stolen bracelet in it's pocket would be a more fitting tribute.

A carefully balanced traffic cone could provoke the same reaction with a lot less effort.

Is anyone else slightly surprised these statues are literally just sitting on their plinths? I'd always assumed they were bolted down.

It's not like they're going to run away.

I've watched enough House to know this isn't good for someone's health:

Agreed, water retention...kidney failure...probably only days without urgent action, if my medical expertise (watching about 5 seasons of House one summer when I was student) is accurate

I have morbidly started going through the feeds of people who have been convicted of cirmes to see what they were tweeting around the time of their crimes.

What a life I lead.

I used to go onto death row websites and see who was stuck in there and what they'd been up to. I just had a quick check there for the first time in years and the first guy in the list is possibly the most ironically named man on the planet:
