What if its part of a double? For example I have Spain and Villa at 18/1. Will it become 9/1 or will the multiplyer be effected?

My mate had told me it just wouldn't be a winner due to Muller having more assists?

I dont think anyone is really sure whats going on with this. Villa was joint top scorer but didnt win the golden boot as Muller had more assists. Has anyone had villa settled as a dead heat?

Yeah I have but that wasn't linked with Spain to win.

Depends whether the market was 'Spain to Win and Villa to be Top Scorer', or Spain to Win and Villa to win the Golden Boot'.

First one, you'll get something back unless the company have specified a tie-breaker, second one, chuck it in the bin.

The NFL season doesn't being until the end of September, I want to bet on 49ers and Ravens to win their respective divisions in a double, both are currently 10/11. I have never looked to bet on something this far in advance before, in the more experienced gambler experiences how likely are these to drift in and what are they likely to shorten to, should I do it now?

Another quick question, are 888sport a decent enough site in terms of good odds. I check oddschecker and stuff if I'm doing big single bets but as a general rule of thumb do they give fair prices?

I have been using Coral as my main online bookie for years but I now have no money in that one and money in 888sport (initially drawn in by that no lose £20 bet), should I withdraw and redeposit elsewhere or are they alright?

I'm thinking of keeping a little log for the start of this season, see how much I am gambling, what sort of bets are winning/losing and obviously to keep track of how much I win as well if I do, does anyone else do this? Do you find it curtails your gambling if you can look back and see you've lost X amount over the course of a couple of months?

I know you can get access online to all your previous but i'm talking about any gambling done, I have an online account but don't use it much, prefer to nip to the bookies on a Sat morning and very occasionally visit the casino so quite want to keep track of everything.

I kept a spreadsheet last season but it became too messy to use properly after a while.

I have made a few changes to it and will be keeping track of all bets this season. It is very useful if you can look back and identify trends etc in your betting habits.

I started doing likewise for this Summers WC although it consisted of a collection of screen dumps from various betting sites being saved to notepad, I'm hoping to have a more organised and readable system in place for the new season.

Do you have any idea if there are template spreadsheets available anywhere? I've tried to knock my own together but I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to go about filling it in, or if I've included the right information, or missed anything out.

I did a google search for spreadsheet league tables and found one which I then started to adapt. This keeps track of scores etc for me.

With regards to betting, I just messed around until I have found something that works for me. The main points to include were the game, odds, stakes and profit / loss column.

Hi there folks,

Not often much of a gambling man, but after todays utter humping from Raith, I'm giving serious thought to placing a small bet on Partick Thistle not to win a single away league game this season (todays shambles excluded, obviously)

Anyone here able to give advice? Whether its a good bet to make, best way to go about placing it/find the best odds, what sort of odds I can expect, that kind of think.

As an aside, what are the odds on McCall being the first manager to leave at the minute?

(I'm well aware this may seem like an overreaction, but honestly, we're *that* shite now that it'd be a good shout to bet against us like this)

- started this as a topic, then noticed this thread and figured it should go in here, argh. Apologies.

You won't get this as a stand alone bet, but you could lay Thistle in all their away games, and keeping rolling over the money each week. It's almost impossible to tell what the odds would be, I've made a rough guess based on the basis they will have 2 games each priced at 6/4, 7/4, 2/1, 9/4, 5/2, 3/1, 7/2, 4/1, and a game at 5/1, and the prices are from betfair. After paying 5% commission each time the cumulative odds come out at 271/1 for the remaining 17 games.

As for whether it's a good bet, no it isn't.

I am not aware of any betting company offering a First Manager To Leave market on the Scottish First Division.

Another betting and laying question

Its easier to understand though if its based on your own betting.

Basically, I've £4( Billy Big Stakes, Eh!?) on Nick Watney, mainly just for interest. He is half way through his first round, and is -2.

I got him at 60.0 and he is now at 19 and able to lay at 19.5.

What kinda of money would I A) Have to put down to make some profit and B) What kind of profit could I look at?

I will not necessarily lay it but if I can make some dosh without the drama I probably will. Does the lowness of my intial stake dramatically effect the profit margins?

Sorry if these are silly questions. :(

Yours Sincerely.
