RossBFaeDundee
Would be a right laugh if the curse was broken this season, in what feels like the beginning of another period of mediocrity.

Aim Here
On the very day that Dundee last won the Scottish Cup, 20th April 1910, Halley's Comet was at it's perihelion, the closest point to the sun. Since then, Halley's Comet has completed a full orbit and is more than four tenths of the way along a second orbit. The last time Halley's comet came around, in early February 1986, Dundee got gubbed 3-1 at Tynecastle in a league match. Dundee's revenge at the return fixture is one of the most famous moments in Scottish football history...

realmadrid
| On this day in 1973, we won the League Cup with a 1-0 victory over Celtic #thedee https://t.co/LDv7539KJt One of Scottish football's great mysteries. 46 years on and lots of smaller clubs have won cups since then. Anyone who was out drinking legally that night will now be 64.

Barry Ferguson's Hat
More men have walked on the moon (12) than won the Scottish Cup in a Dundee shirt (11). Given that NASA estimate it could cost as much as $30 billion to put man on the moon once more - and that it would most likely require at least eleven men to win the Scottish Cup - Dundee would have to spend in the region of $330,000,000,000 to have even the faintest hope of winning the Scottish Cup again. Quite staggering, really. Edited December 18, 2019 by Barry Ferguson's Hat
thisal
When Alfred Smith died in August it meant there is no living Scotsman born before Dundee last won the Scottish Cup. The current oldest living Scotswoman was 25 days old.

RandomGuy.
On this day, in the year Dundee last won the Scottish Cup, Manchester United fans were eagerly awaiting Old Traffords construction being finalised. It would host its first major game just a year later, as the FA Cup Final was hosted there. It would be a decade until Wembley was constructed.

Lex
You wonder what threads will still be around and being read by future fans and football historians 100 years from now, when we are all gone. Probably the BRALT, The 2012 Hearts v Hibs cup final thread, Chiggsy... and this one of course.Because a lot of things will happen in the next 100 years, but Dundee winning the Scottish cup will not be one of them.
