Mr. Brightside
Andy is making a sprint! Now Evans Edited July 22, 2011 by Mr. Brightside
interthenet jnr
Some boo's for Contador there as he came in.
Mr. Brightside
What a stage!
Desert Nomad
Superb win for Rolland, White Jersey as well. Contador made the race, fantastic attacking riding today, just as Schleck was yesterday. Evans should win the Tour now, and probably without winning a stage.
interthenet jnr
Well who's favourite now then?
Mr. Brightside
It'd be good if Cavendish got docked another 20 points today...
South Lanarkshire Jag
Andy Schleck 57 seconds clear of Evans going into the TT. Is it a big enough gap?
interthenet jnr
It'd be good if Cavendish got docked another 20 points today... I really dislike the bumming of Cavendish and Team Sky by ITV4 it's just like the brown nosing Martin Brundell does of Hamilton and Button in F1. Same with the English media when the national side play.
Musketeer Gripweed
I sometimes wonder if the Schleck's know wha they are doing. It's all well and good marking Evans on the early climbs, but they knew they had to take time out of him today. We saw when Evans attacked Andy could live with him, so why did he not make a move himself?
Shuggie_Murray7
57 seconds between Andy and Evans? Might just be me, but Andy will be motivated and determined not to only be in yellow for the TT, I don't think he will loose as much time as people think. PS. I reckon they tour will be won and lost by no more than 15 seconds. Edited July 22, 2011 by Shuggie_Murray7

Two stages, hardly amazing!
Musketeer Gripweed
It'd be good if Cavendish got docked another 20 points today... Rojas was with him at the foot of D'Huez, so it will not matter a f**k anyway.
interthenet jnr
Did Andy not lose something like a minute in a previous TT to Contador in the Tour? It's going to be squeaky bum time.
Mr. Brightside
Did Andy not lose something like a minute in a previous TT to Contador in the Tour? It's going to be squeaky bum time. Last year he only lost 31 seconds or something, which could be be something to do with it being more windy when Andy went.
Mr. Brightside
Sami Sanchez wins the polka dot, ahead of Andy.
Mr. Brightside
What happened to Evans on stage 19 last year? He finished 166th.
South Lanarkshire Jag
What happened to Evans on stage 19 last year? He finished 166th. He suffered a hairline crack on his arm/elbow can't remember which about stage 7. He was miles behind and struggling badly.
RedWeb
Cavendish is a great sprinter and deserves tremendous credit for all the stages he's won. But he's never going to win a big stage race like Le Tour, Giro, Vuelta etc and as such can never be regarded as one the absolute top cyclists out there. For me winning one mountain top stage to Alpe D'huez beats any number of flat sprints you want to mention. Nothing against Cavendish. Just feel he gets too much attention when in this sort of race he's out the back half the time. Edited July 22, 2011 by RedWeb

That means he has to be the best.
Mr. Brightside
They miss the cut, but there's loads of them there.
