"I've rode km after km of pave, on the roads to Roubaix, but have you seen the cobbles at the Ford on the Tak? Fcuk that!"😂🤣😂

It's hardly the Arenberg Trench.🥴

It could be 'fixed' easily...

I'd heard that was the reason third hand so seemed the obvious..

I have never been that interested in the Scottish cycle scene so dunno if any important races have used the Tak in the past...Any time I've done it, it has been from Carronbridge...

That cobbled ford is more likely why they avoid the Tak...

be interesting how the Strava KOM would fare with the pros heading over it...

I've been reviewing the routes to see if any of my KOMs are going to disappear.. think they are obscure enough to be safe.

There's moss on them thar slabs - slippery as fúck and terrifying at 30+ mph.  I've seen a couple of folk come off the bike on the ford.

Think mine are safe too.

Mainly because I don't have any. 😄

Remco just phenomenal in TWC RR.
Cant wait for next season to start, the #NewGeneration have most  certainly arrived!

Looks like the GT’s are going to be ultra competitive & hard to call. But will they all try to avoid each other?

I'd have to create a new segment of strange paths to get a KOM....

I'm normally in the last couple of pages..

Mrs BiD has suggested an electric bike at my age...

not until these legs give up.

Can anyone post the main Road event route if possible?

That’s yer lot so far as the UCI are declaring. Looks pretty posh with only a decent of the Crow Rd & city centre laps to finish.

Looks like it's going up to Carron Valley Reservoir before Crow Road from the North.  Hopefully the roads will be resurfaced first.

I assume then the TT route I posted is a 'guess'.

Looking forward to it though...

Find a spot on the route even if they just fly by....

This would be good.

Knowing Falkirk Council Roads dept, that’ll be a skim of tar & a shed load of chuckies.🙄

I've registered to volunteer. They let you know later this year if you have been successful. Was tempted to lie about the diversity driven questions, but didn't.

Haven't done any cycling volunteering before, but have three or four times for golf, including the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, which was a brilliant experience.

Enjoyable Il Lombardia 'monument' today,

Pogacar as expected made it two out of two.

Is it just me that thinks that the Italian races are a better spectacle than the the Belgian ones?

The Belgian ones are of course, tough going compared to the smooth roads of Italy (apart from Strada Bianchi)...

In other news, SEVEN of the W52 FC Porto team suspended for doping, bans from 3 to 7 years...
