I used to drink in the Harp and Castle fairly regularly when I lived down that way. Priscillas is now called Bojangles, a shite name. I've never been in Planet Out, although I once went on a night out in GHQ. I ran out of money and had to get the barman to buy me a drink

I've been to GHQ myself, someone's birthday night out of course. I love how tense some straight people get in gay clubs, they must think if their arse isn't facing a wall they'll get bumraped. I mind one time when I was in Polo for another birthday (genuinely, honest  ) a guy tried to talk to my mate and he properly freaked the f**k out. Bizarre.

Mind you, of the three times I've been to gay club's the bouncer has asked me every time if I know it's a gay place. I don't know whether to be complimented or offended, probably offended.

I got hit on in a gay bar. While at the bar, by the barman himself and then at the toilet. The fact the DJ announced I was "coming out" probably didn't help

Listen the only obvious solution I can see to this is for every Edinburgh based P&Ber to get together and go to GHQ, keep score on who gets most attention from the clientele and then award a 'Gayer of the Year' trophy to the winner.

I've just overheard someone on the train ask asking her husband if Fife's an island. The thinking: "well think about it, you need to cross either the Forth and Tay bridges to get onto it". I really don't think she's trying to pull his leg. Scottish too.

Got rid of a far too pushy bloke last night by referring to his The Rangers top as a valid reason why we were never meant to be. It even outweighed him owning the pub.

He took it well enough. Even let us have a lock in. Think he was embarrassed he couldn't tell me their last score ...

What about the rest of us? :(

Of course special guest stars are welcome at the gay-off.

More likely to happen than than Philpy's Edinburgh crawl IMO

I bet philpy would get loads of action on the gay scene, bears and all that. Whatever that means, I have no idea.

Went to see Eddie Izard in Aberdeen last night and was very disappointed. I loved this guy when he first appeared but his humour has not developed.

I will happily admit that I was in a small minority going by the crowd reaction, though most of them were too young to have seen his earlier stuff live.

Izard bores me massively, just a fat Julian Clary

I've never watched Julian Clary so I can't make a comparison. Eddie Izzard was the funniest comedian of his generation, he's either not moved on or my tastes have changed. Still think his early stuff was brilliant.

I'd just chuck it if I was you.

I met Calum Gers on Sauchiehall Street. He was wielding a toy water pistol and demanded I took him to the casino.

Glad he's back to normal. I was worried about him the past few months.

Don't worry. I actually like both, but they have nothing in common other than having worn make up. I think the sound on Random Guys telly hasn't been working when they've been on.

I think he's a cheery wee chap. Rarely misses an Ayr game. In fact, he was at Forfar yesterday.
