When I wallpapered our old house I wrote “I WILL KILL AGAIN” in red paint underneath as a gift for whoever strips it in years to come.

We mocked up a calendar for 2046 and left it under the carpets at our old house.

Great game, played it for 20 years until lock down.  The more you play the better you get with court coverage and angles.

First game back, tore my calf.  Nearly ready to go again though.

Only played for 4 years or so. I enjoy it. Fitness wise certainly keeps me going. However pending on who you're against shows how good you are which I found out pretty quick. Court itself is fine. Heat is teckle

IT is a great game though if you get an opponent who is of similar standard.

I struggled for ages to find an opponent of same standard. 1 mate who got me into it is far superior so just sends me around the court. Mate who I got into ( I'm a novice also) he is shite so kinda felt I wasn't getting much out of it. A person I met at the gym hall fancied a game n well aye she is good. Mostly get beat but not by much. Only do once every week or second.

Were any other P&B'ers able to read at a ridiculously young age?

You might want to read that again, specifically the "I've no idea what it said" bit

I’ll wager £5 that Mrs Robin.Hood is going to be getting very upset with you very shortly.

I just noticed that the German title for All Creatures Great & Small is "The Doctor and the Love Cattle"

Edit: no, I did not discover this during an inappropriate session of Googling, thank you very much, and I'm getting a little tired of your insinuations.

Despite your protests I don't think you're udderly innocent. Maybe your case will be herd but I think it's bull. So you can just Foo Calf!

I was in the Basque Country 20 years ago and they play a sort of squash called pelote. It's bloody faster than our squash.

Squash came from a game called rackets. Eglington Castle in Ayrshire has a rackets court dating from the early 19th Century.

I'm too fat and uncoordinated to play squash.
