I’ve never had the opportunity before, having generally worked through a period of [relative] milk and honey. I know I shouldn’t be, but I’m quite excited. On hold for 30mins. and the lassie that eventually took my call couldn't help me because they're switching customers over to an 'online help team' and she works for the 'old' assistance team. So she puts me back on hold but I gave up after 15mins. Turns out because she was initially with British Gas Evolve, when they moved her over to BG they haven’t allocated her an up-to-date customer number. The woman I spoke to was polite and said she had flagged her manager but he was on his lunch break. She said she'd phone back later in the day but guess what? I have evolved a MO when dealing with such companies now that if I have a non urgent issue requiring customer care I just write a letter which usually elicits a fairly swift response. They have facial recognition on phones so why can’t they have it to block all the annoying c***s you used to work with or your mates psycho gf with the annoying voice.
