I was asked if I would stand when they played God Save The Queen at the Jubilee.

I said yes. You can't sit down to the Sex Pistols

I know it's a common regional thing, but I couldn't sit through Chris Tarrant's pronunciation of "shire" for more than thirty seconds.

Just got an email from Halfords.

My nephew got circumcised a week or so before his 4th or 5th birthday. We went round with his present on his birthday and he came running into the room shouting "Uncle Andy, Auntie Ann, have you seen my helmet!"

He meant his Darth Vader, voice changing helmet - obviously - but all the adults in the room were either pishing themselves laughing (me and his Dad) or looking shocked (my missus and his Mum).

Presumably not used with Scots contestants as all places north of the border are lumped together as being "in Scotland".

ScotlandSheer, surely.

I don't remember seeing anyone from Scotland in the first thirty seconds, oddly.
