All joking aside, there was at least one Lion there which I think could have probably carried me, at least long enough for a photo, which would have been fucking glorious

Reminds me of Robert Snodgrass talking about getting to know Jose Quitongo:

I was at five sisters zoo today. Their lions are fucking ENORMOUS. Stood right at the fence and one of them was sort of roaring. The noise that comes out of a lion close up is genuinely terrifying. Walking towards the enclosure I thought it was a speaker playing lion sounds. Phenomenal animals. Could not take in square go.

I saw a lion in Barcelona Zoo. It sat there licking its baws which you might as well do if you're the King of the Jungle.

You get a higher class of vandalism in Leith, as demonstrated here by a bit of fly-tipping etched with the London skyline and a pic of my old mate Bradley sprayed on the Bridge of Doom. What a vibrant den of culture we have. Good to remember when we are getting bombarded with wailing about a racist old reptile.

The closing credits of Count Duckula still boasts the best Intro or Outro theme in the history of children's television.

I remember seeing a gorilla doing that in  Edinburgh zoo.  I said to my dad "I wish I could do that" He replied - "Throw him a banana, he might let you."

The old ones are the best.
