Had a scheduled blood test at hospital today. Tumor marker came back at 52.3 with the threshold being 45.

Was sent for a CT scan but won't find out the results until the 9th of January due to the holidays :(

Sorry to read this sjc. Hope it's just a blip. Shite having to wait for the results though. Nothing worse.

Not sure if there's a more appropriate thread for this but I had a horrendous first date last night with the receptionist where I'm staying. We were three minutes out the door after her shift on the way to the pub when she got a phone call informing her of her grandfather's death.
Honestly one of the most awkward situations of my life but thankfully managed to avoid comparing her loss to the earlier passing of Colin Weir.

If she left it wasn't her dear old granda that croaked, it was her pal getting her out. Three minutes is pretty quick to suss you though. If she stayed she's a nutter best avoided.

Well the very act of agreeing to the date marks her out as a nutter, but the swift sussing of my deviance reveals a more intellectual side. Then again she wants to rearrange for when she returns from her home town. I think it was such complexity of personality which attracted me to her in the first place.

I thought this was a situation you specialised in taking advantage of, was expecting a few helpful tips tbh.

I'm not entirely sure that should be illegal, considering everything else people swallow in the name of religion. Does "you can't prove it isn't true!" not provide protection in most of these situations?

Hundreds of people, by the way. Hundreds. And a baby alligator.

As Christmas approaches young kids are told that they have to be good or Santa Claus won't visit them.

Religious people believe that they have to live a good life so they'll go to Heaven when they die.

The only difference is that few people older than about seven still believe in Santa.

He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake. Prime Yewtree candidate if you ask me.

Both appear to be omnipotent, if any of them crept into my house I'd rather they were impotent.
