I was lying in the treatment room in the doctor's surgery getting an iron infusion through an IV drip when I noticed an air bubble travelling up the tube and into my arm. Having heard that this can kill you I was obviously a tad concerned so quickly Googled it and the first line of the search returned this: As soon as I read this I shouted on the nurse who rushed in asking if I was OK. When I told her my concern she started laughing and informed me it has to be around at least 20cm long in the tube before it can harm you.
