CityDave
Pelting with snow here. On a snow related note I honestly think I have borderline frostbite. Good excuse for a wee dram.
lithgierose
The wife bought loads of flour to make her own bread in the bread maker thing which gathers dust in the kitchen. Just in case we got snowed in down here. Ayr has had about an inch of snow in total since the weather began.

Fife Saint
Scrap that it is snowing again Your neck o' the wids was hellish earlier. There was a sign saying "Skid Danger", they weren't wrong. I earned a few Tiger Stripes in my Calvin's I think.

Guest The Phoenix
I think I'll change my name to one of those. I used to be called Football Traffic. Might I be so bold as to suggest "High Winds" as being more appropriate?
WILLIEA
Freezing fog here in Glasgow. Really poor visibility.Got things to do but can't bring myself to go driving in it.
Sergeant Wilson
Might I be so bold as to suggest "High Winds" as being more appropriate? Indeed, wind of all varieties is a speciality. 12 Pints of lager and a chicken satay yesterday, makes work even less pleasant for those around me today.

Laid Back Maverick
http://www.youtube.c...feature=related Get one of these Scotrail That's a photo from 1895, three steam engines and a plough clearing snow at Altnabreac. Almost suggets we've gone backwards in our ability to cope! The resident electronic guru/trainspotter in my office tells me that the electronics on modern trains start failing below -5C so the doors freeze, heating fails etc, so ironically the old rickety trains with the handle doors, are more likely to keep running (although they're usually Baltic inside!)
