We had two kilos of mussels steamed and with a bit of garlic butter sauce lobbed on them. Utterly magic. The kids absolutely love them too which was a surprise to us. :D

Oh yes! Add a splash of white wine to that and some coriander with chunks of crusty white farmhouse bread to mop up the sauce and you're in heaven!

Yeah and it's dirt cheap too and full of protein.

Haven't had it for a wee while so it's back on the menu regularly again.

Picked up half a dozen herring for tomorrows dinner. They are getting slapped on the barbie :D

Tattie scone, eggs, links, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, bacon, soda scone and square slice and a big steaming hot mug of tea. Yum Yum Yum. That'll do me until Tuesday. A week off work, a week on the bevy. Yeeha.

I'm hungry just reading that.

Allow me to save you the bother.

It's stupendously shite.

Crispy pork gryros with grilled peppers and side salad. In lieu of tzatziki, much salad cream was used to take the edge off a very hot chilli marinade. Nom.

A donner kebab Pot Noodle is a decent hangover curer, particularly if you add all the chilli sauce.

Give it a try old chap. It's brill. Don't over-dose on the sesame oil, its strong. 1 teaspoon does, after the noodles are ready, coup it in.

That sounds brilliant. I'm going to have to try that.

I think we should start a recipes thread.

Get everyone cooking.

We have had one, a while ago now, but there was even a recipe book made, which I used to have somewhere on this PC, but I'm not sure I still do. I'll have a look for it. I agree, it's time for a recipe revival though.
