What are they?

I've never heard nor seen them before.

I had ham omelette with sour chilli sauce and charred asparagus.

They are a Yorkshire cake a bit like a scone but sweeter more mixed fruit and spice in them and a bit flatter.

The best ones are from Betty's tea rooms in Yorkshire

Made salsa for the first time.  1/10.

Might have another go with a different recipe; saw one that use good quality tinned tomatoes.

Also going to have a go at apple salsa.

Peach salsa is the best. But apple sounds a bit odd not sure you'd want it to be as crunchy as it would be with apples

Try this one, made it a couple of weeks ago and it's really good, it's got quite a strong coriander flavour so you might want to reduce the amount you use depending on your preference.

Replicated an old ice cream favourite that we last got from a shop in Lochee about thirty years ago.

11/10.  Will do again.

Frankie Davey's? Does it still exist?

Was out walking the other day and passed the Chinese street food van, up the west end, just off Woodlands Rd. The smell of the food was amazing, so went back today and had a chicken teriyaki rice box and a portion of spring rolls. Was distinctly average and the ratio of rice to chicken was far too much. Springs rolls were decent enough. Wouldn’t go back.
