Surprised he's gone down that low, but good luck to the lad. Had moments of looking like a good player in him at times but never consistently enough at this level. I imagine it's close to home as well.

He'd a reasonable return for EF in league 1 previously so a big surprised to see him drop that far. Presumably EK are offering a better than average LL wage.

Is Murray going to run with Gullan, Vuaghan and Frederiksen, then?

Poor lad didn’t really have a choice but to drop to the Lowland League due to 2 clubs rule after playing 5 minutes for Killie back in July, bit of a farce really.

Wish him all the best but glad he hasn’t joined us although he should do really well at that level. Worked hard, just wasn’t up to it on a consistent basis in the Championship.

What's that? A collective exhale?

He wasn’t that bad. We’ll always have his long throw and his goals against Ayr and Partick (think it was them).

Good luck to the boy.

Shows his level and we expected him to do it in the Championship

It’s really nothing to do with ‘his level.’ I agree he wasn’t up to it as a regular starter in the Championship but plenty of teams in League One would have taken him on. However, because he has played for Rovers and Killie this season, he can’t play for anyone else in the SPFL.

His choice was basically move to the Lowland League or sit on his backside for 6 months.

Did he actually play a competitive game for Killie this season. He signed for us at the end of July so could only be League Cup games if any.

That can't be right, we were assured by some on here that Murray was "obsessed" with signing him.

Really don’t think anyone said that but glad we haven’t gave him a 18 month deal or something silly like that

He played 5 minutes in a League Cup game. As I said before, it’s a bit of a farce that prevents him signing for anyone else but that’s the rules.

Yep, it’s stupid, but a reality…three makes more sense. On the other hand, could work well for Connell. EK are only 8 off the top with 2 games in hand, after you delete the “B’s”, so it’ll be a chance to help EK win, and potentially play to gain promotion. Certainly, if he can deliver there, he’ll get offers from Leagues One and Two next year.

He wasn't championship level but he could probably do a turn for the Dunfermlines and Falkirks of this world.

Hoping that the reason he hasn't come to us is because we have something better in the pipeline rather than us not having the budget for him.

It’s the hope that kills you.

Not sure he would have. His level is lower than top end League 1.
