The New Raith Rovers Thread

Personally I think good on Murray , He’s wanting to get boys match fit  like Tom Lang , John fredriksen  so when need be they can come straight into the starting lineup , We are struggling to score in the strikers department + we have been letting sloppy goals of late so I can’t see a negative in playing this game .

Why on earth are we playing a friendly against Hibs? The last thing we need just now is any knocks or strains for first team players. It stinks of Murray wanting to do his old club a favour more than getting any benefit for us.

We played Hill of Beath last Tuesday at Starks as well.
Opportunity to give players minutes who wouldn’t get them otherwise.

Aye, I don't know everyone's budgets but I'd guess the league table is relatively representative of that.  We are broadly where I expected us to be, albeit a bit further behind the top 4.

I don’t think Morton will have a bigger budget than us tbh but I’m maybe wrong

Aye I'd say we are pretty similar, near the bottom of the full time clubs list of budgets.

Partick, Dundee, Queens Park comfortably more.

Ayr and Inverness a bit more.

Hamilton a bit less.

A lot of chat flying about that we are in a good place financially now so will be interesting to see how we go about our business in Jan.

It was all very boring. Gordon Brown got a mention (can't recall why exactly) and McCoist mentioned him being a Rovers fan.

The main commentator thought the Portugal manager looked like Gordon Brown

One game isn,t going to get players match fit and ready to come straight into starting line up

At least Fredriksen might get a full game, something IM who signed him has been unwilling to give him in a competitive game .Been an utter waste of a wage

Sounds boring and nothing to boast about
