The bigger question is how it impacts the community foundation given the floodlights are on most evenings at Stark's. Is the club still separate of Stark's Park Properties?

Yeah the club is still separate. The floodlights were replaced by LEDs I believe so it should be lower energy but still, they're on almost daily and with winter coming in, they'll be on more I'd imagine. As for changing kick off times, the impact would also be on the local establishments that take advantage of football crowds, the Novar for example thrives on the Saturday lunchtime crowd before a game. It's a tough balance I would say.

The club won't save much money with BBC Scotland potentially picking us for 2 home Friday night games, so anything to save a buck or two would need to be considered.

The costs all clubs must be facing right now will be insane - they aren't protected by the energy cap - hopefully some form of business support offered as well as the proposed freeze on our own personal bills, otherwise a lot of businesses, not just football clubs, will simply not be viable over the winter.
raith1974
Half way through the week and the silence is deafening regarding a striker signing. Are we going another week where we announce nothing. Better hope Gullans fit for Saturday as Connell and McBride won't score goals. Even if it is a foreign striker we can sign him subject to a week permit being granted.

No point in announcing a signing if the permit doesn't get granted or takes 2 months to do so.
CALDERON
Have to admit, if we are waiting any real length of time for a striker then staying in this league would be seen as success. That emphasis increases if Gullan is out for any length of time, which is scary considering how poor the team are in front of goal even with him playing. No you sign subject to a work permit or you sign a loan player till Christmas. Anyway just not good enough from manager and club that we are into September and still no striker a position that needed addressed in July.

It would be nice to hear that we are doing something to try and secure a striker instead we hear we need someone then the following Thursday IM tells us nothing or we are no closer. How do you know Frederikson is arriving.

How do you know Frederikson is arriving. Would you prefer the manager to more or less confirm players are coming in only for it not to happen? Like he got torn apart on here for doing a few weeks back ? Dick Campbell was saying the other day that they have had deals more or less confirmed then fall through at the last minute. It's frustrating, but it's not just an Ian Murray or Raith Rovers issue - as much as some would love it to be.

Exactly, you could announce his arrival subject to paperwork but then if you don't get it, you've got to put out an "oh well" statement. Some of the fans on here would be up in arms at that shit too, finding ways to blame the club.
Paco
Frederiksen is an international player which might make some difference to getting a work permit.I believe Murray had targets from Norway earlier in the window that he gave up on due to work permit problems, so he shouldn’t be going into this with his eyes closed. Must be confident he can get it done.
