foreverarover
I was assuming he'd been given a 2 yr contract, which would therefore have had a year left to run.Out of contact at the end of the season.

I think it’s because he’s an older guy, fairly downbeat in interviews and definitely not a self promoter. That’s why he gets overlooked despite being far superior to the likes of John Hughes and other self promoters. I don't think he's particularly bothered about getting a job elsewhere. He left a job where he was getting to travel and watch football to come back to us. He clearly has raith rovers at heart. He's also not been much of a success at other clubs a d is by n large loved for the majority of his time here It's pretty funny to see the same people who werent happy when he came back are the ones effectively defending him now. Specky Ginger
2 hours ago, roverthemoon said: He’s much older, married and strikes me as a fairly intelligent guy. No great shock that he’s not at the heart of the young guys banter. Think it’s the same at most clubs. Pretty much identical to Dave Narey when he was here. On the night of the league cup win, while most of the boys were tearing it up into the night, Narey and Ian Redford called into Valente's for a fish supper on their way home.

Brashy's Boots
Out of contact at the end of the season. Yes, I know. It was a hypothetical position, challenging Michael W, but it's all getting quite muxed ip now, so let's leave it.I'm for keeping him. McGlynn, that is, to avoid any further confusion.

John would have made sure he'd have had plenty of staff on duty that evening while he was off invading the pitch with Jimmy and Martin at the end of extra time . The chippy at the west end of the High Street was certainly hoaching that night. Met the late Bobby Reid there and had a great blether. He'd just returned from dropping off Willie Polland at his home in West Lothian. Happy happy days indeed

It’s common knowledge that he’s out of contract and has a proven track record of getting promotion from league 1.
L. Brilliant
Yeah I think it's spoken about because it's a really obvious match of out of contract, proven manager with a club that needs exactly what he's done before. It's an interesting test of just how farcical Falkirk these days, whether they're at least looking at it.
Been going too long
Lots to catch up with, I’m in the Mcglynn to stay camp for another year , we were going along nicely then imploded ( our own doing) we we won a cup( good day out) and should have at least made playoffs ( our own doing) but make no mistake we let Mcglynn walk away Falkirk or QoS will snap him up as he will get them promoted, Berra might be a great coach/manager but it’s a massive risk like we did when John left last time. I have heard we have spoken to Scott brown and Steven Naismith but I’m not connected to the club just rumours, massive decision for the club but I think a new 1 year contract with option for 2 is our best option at the moment. John has done well for us overall, loves the club and of course the Falkirk rumour could be spread by him to get more cash from John sim Edited April 28 by Been going too long
SirJimmyofNic
The fact that nothing has been said about his position with more than likely the last game of the season tomorrow night, isn't filling me with a great deal of confidence
stevoraith
Have seen Scott Browns name mentioned a few times. If we’re serious about rebuilding the clubs reputation as a family and community club then we need to avoid horrible humans such as Scott Brown like the plague.

SirJimmyofNic
Maybe Raith Tv will ask the question in the pre match interview

What happens with discussions between the manager and the club stays private until any statement is formally released by either party, normally the club in these cases. And so it should be, despite everyone and his dug thinking that they should be in the know and have the right to demand that they be told.

Plenty of moral guardians of our and other clubs on P&B to advise us of a candidates suitability, can't believe that a decision hasn't been made yet when we need to try and be resigning players and looking to sign others, not very good from the Rovers
