The New Raith Rovers Thread

Recommended Posts

On paper it looked like a good signing however his history of injuries should have been a warning sign for the Rovers , just another waste of money that we can barely afford. It just another poor signing made

Hit the bar against Brechin in the league cup. Can't remember much other than that.

Have to say, I'm fucking delighed it'll stop the "Why have we got Keatings out on loan at Montrose" brigade on social media. He wasn't even appearing for them, let alone us.

Well, all his career highlights involved fucking Raith Rovers so I suppose itvwas nice he got to find one last opportunity to do so this season.

He hasn't been in Montrose's squad the last few weeks. Not sure if injured or otherwise, but fair to assume his career is finished.

Scored about a quarter of his career goals against us. We sign him, he barely plays, we release a weird statement about his body being too weak and he's loaned to Montrose. What a disaster of a signing.

And to think,  not even the biggest disaster of a signing this season.

We set a high bar and cleared it by a mile.

The Rovers, eh? What a club.

I must admit, every time I log on here these days and see there's been a high number of posts in this thread in a relatively short period of time, I'm overcome with dread.

For all it was a strange statement it was seemingly, the actual truth: He didn't play because he was physically broken.

At first I thought it was a cover story to save face; too bad he never got back to fitness.

Perhaps Susan Simpson has been at work already with this. We all knew Keatings would never return but there would still be some kind of settlement agreed for his contract.

We have got to stop McGlynn signing strikers. It would be more cost effective to employ someone on 40k a year just to identify and sign strikers.

Don’t worry, when this f’ing season is over McGlynn Smith and his Wife will hopefully be gone. No more injury prone pish to deal with.

Now, take any money saved and go and get Dom Thomas on a PCA.

I dont see it as money saved its money we,ve basically thrown down the drain on his signing and the signing of DG

I suppose footballers will be no different from any other profession if your not fit to do the job your employed to do your services can be disposed off but your right that’s  where Susan simpsons expertise have probably came into play regarding HR etc
