The New Raith Rovers Thread

Recommended Posts

The Rovers never go more than 2 years of having some success and then fucking it up its what we do . As for some folk moaning about the board making some daft decisions it's the same board who gave a player with the worst injury record in the clubs history a 3 year contract 🙄

Maby  the Dunfermline game drama kinda fucked our coffers, and teams took advantage.

Presumably the club still has the cash from that in their bank?  Wasn’t a huge away crowd, was down to the hardcore anyway so doubt many will be after their money back. Same with those in the home end. On the back of the hefty Govt grant and with a tie against Celtic including the Premier TV money coming down the line, it’d be a real worry if we are in the position of selling a key asset cheaply to help with cash flow.

Seems obvious he'll be gone. Club will herald the fact that he will be half heartedly sticking around to January, a relative pittance for the length of contract we just sold out and will wiggle their eyebrows knowingly about add ons.

Still, its a kick in the teeth. The club can't talk about ambition on the one hand and then sell on a guy who is a creative player, someone we could build a side around and our most likely monetary asset for hee haw at the first sign of interest. Seems like Sim is first and only interested in infrastructure - that's his ambition, what he sees as a way of ultimately making the club sustainable without realising that people turn up to watch a team win a game of football.

With Vaughan injured and Spencer still making his way back from injury we don't have a lot of creative spine left in the team, and certainly not past January. Lest we forget that Tait will be picking up his sun tan for his trip to Leith at the same time as Riley Snow's contract runs out.

Arnott looks like he has a lot of potential. With any luck he could start to fill in, and maybe grasp a starting spot. We can sell him next year.
