The New Raith Rovers Thread

Recommended Posts

The last couple of times we've played them the crowd has been around 15,000 or so has it not? A handy sum without doubt but The Rangers would've been the best draw financially. There was 40,000 for the Pars match the other day.

Think post-COVID it will be higher. As long as they don’t take a few beatings between now and then, they should still turn out in numbers after being deprived for over a year.

Doubt it. I thought perhaps he’d go out on loan when RBS came in, but with injuries to Matthews and Spencer, no way since Coulson is already loaned out, I think he’s going to start playing more minutes as the season progresses, in the Tait mould. I’d also expect a full time contract to be announced shortly.

You could be right, are you his agent by any chance 😂😂

Nope, Mendy’s, remember.

Hopefully. It's midweek which doesn't help but if it was around the 30,000 mark that would be very handy.

Hopefully that result has put to bed negativity like this - that was tweeted at HT today btw! A positive result against the Pars next week and I think we can really kick on.

An old mate of my brother's (Aberdeen fan) messaged me earlier asking if I was at the game. I asked him his thoughts on the performance (post-match) and his response was that it was pretty clear Aberdeen were poor more than Rovers were very decent.

Incredible that can be someone's stock response. "We got beat off lower league opposition. It simply has to be the case that we were absolutely awful and if we'd just turned it up a little bit, we'd have skittled them."

Also, Celtic away in the next round...aye, not a draw that has you planning your Hampden weekend but definitely will have its financial benefits.
