San Starko Rover 2,076 Report post Posted January 24 What Nicholl did won't be repeated by anyone. Ever. Whenever anyone hears I support the Rovers, they immediately mention Bayern and Celtic. I would hold Mcglynn very close to Nicholl though. He's brought the club up from the doldrums, twice and defied the oldest saying in the book of "never go back". The way he completely changed his style in between spells is remarkable. When he came back, some people were losing their nut because he played shit football and didn't give youth a chance. Interesting. Not sure it’ll never happen again, us winning one of the big cups is obviously a long shot but it’s hardly beyond the realms of possibility. Queen of the South, Falkirk, Ross County, Dunfermline, Inverness, Dundee have all been in finals this century with a couple winning it we’re hardly looking at those clubs as giants of the game. You need a lot of luck with draws but it’s possible for a club of our size to achieve it. Getting through Europe to the big clubs is the hard one these days as you need to win the Scottish and then get through the preliminary rounds.

The election for position of fans rep on the board will be held in a few months time. If you feel so passionate on these issues perhaps you should consider standing.
grumswall 2,107 Report post Posted January 25 The board have done well with all that. Just a month ago mcglynn and a few others were out handing out food parcels with the Linton lane center for example. It's a bit hard to do more when the country has been in a state of lockdown for almost a year.

grumswall 2,107 Report post Posted January 25 Cowdenbeath and East Fife IMOThey are getting similar supports at games these days. Won't be long till they are in the premiership and we are fighting it out for 4th spot in league 1 and 2.

The board have done the biggest thing they could in this regard; bring in McGlynn and Smith who have built an entertaining, likeable squad. What ideas do you have?
