At long last an FA thats actually showing a pair if gonads and making a decision, whether its right or wrong whilst our blazers drag their heels.

Agreed. There’s no way this season will be completed. Not without severely impacting on next season, which just creates a domino effect.

Call this season off now and use the next week or two to decide how best to resolve the obvious issues.

Just go on current standings and give us the trophy. It’s the only sensible way to finish it.

Then cross your fingers that next season isn’t too badly affected.

There is one game left in the regular season and Club Brugge were 15 points clear. They've also not made a decision on European spaces or relegation. You're comparing apples and oranges.

Why not? This season can run late, there is no reason to start the next season in its usual place. Teams could play each other twice, there could be expanded play offs, the League Cup and Challenge Cup could be suspended for a year or the League Cup could go back to full knock out, the Scottish Cup could not have replays for a season... there are ways of fitting in next season in a truncated way, and if player contracts can be automatically extended for 6 months or some other workable solution can be found then there's no reason to not see if we can get this current season finished.

Surely the Euros next year is as good a reason as any to start next season as close to normal as possible? Especially if Scotland qualify.

Still another 10 games to go for the Jupiler Pro League Championship playoffs though so Club Brugge still weren't mathematically winners. It's like saying Celtic are 13 points clear with 3 games to go but in reality they have 8 games to play.

Great. Was concerned I wouldn’t be able to watch it when I finish tonight. Good idea!

Bill Clark was interviewed  on off the ball/ open all mikes and said if this situation continues into August/September its not inconceivable club could fold..in his conversations with other club chairmen this applies to many other clubs who are in a worse position than ours

If it gets that bad surely the club can at least ask Fulham to pay the money owed for Kieran I would think its highly unlikely for a club like Fulham to shaft us.

If it continues to drag on that long then surely a decision will have been taken on league placings and prize monies paid out by that stage.

I know I'll get some smart arse responses but how did clubs survive during WW2 it's the same situation where everyone is in the same boat if it sadly means joblosses then so be it .
No one will be signing players and with clubs being on lockdown the running costs should be quite low.

Why would rushing to make a wrong decision be better than waiting to make the right one?

That's worrying, as that's the earliest I'd expect this situation to be over.

Hopefully he means as things stand ie without the aid of advanced prize money etc.

Dont quote me on it but sure he said he didn,t expect the season to resume even by August

I also took it he meant as things stand with no money coming in

Some clubs especially in the lower division might not be far from going to the wall

We wont know if any decision is right or wrong one until a decision is made

There’s not any football going to be played before August at the very earliest.

Over the leagues a great many players are due to expire in about 60 days time, given that most years players would be in contract negotiations by now (pre-contract agreements) when would you assess a time that isn’t rushed?

Perhaps this decision doesn’t required to be made today or tomorrow but it will have to be addressed sooner rather than later.

How would the SPFL making a decision on this season help stop those clubs from going to the wall? If it's about prize money, then that can be distributed without having to make a call on the season, and it's not clear how much of that prize money will still be available given that broadcasters and sponsors may well not make further payments given that there are no games being broadcast.

Clubs are going to be in the same boat regardless - they won't know when the next games are going to be played so it would be hard to make contract offers anyway.
