The New Raith Rovers Thread

Thanks for Nisbet guys. Despite many of your concerns, he looks a great player at championship level and has been offering a lot more to the team than just scoring goals.

You’re not the first pars fan that’s came back on here and made it look like Rovers fans told you he only scored goals..

Kevin Nisbet is the most complete striker we’ve had in a few Decades. He does absolutely everything. His goals will obviously be missed. But so will his link-up play, his work rate etc as well. Everything that happened up front went through him last season.

Early days yet. A few goals against lower league opposition mean nothing. Let's see how he gets on in the championship.

Remind me of his link up play last season. He literally did nothing outside the box.

Go back and watch the highlights from the cup game vs Queens Park. Just the first thing off the top of my head.

Val's a successful female and we're lucky enough that she gives her time and money to our club.  She ropes in the first minister of the country, also female, to come down and talk to a team of young women and girls, boost their confidence, show them how far women can go in life.
Getting upset about that is off the chart mental

How far they can go in life? Pushing the country to the brink of ruin is some benchmark right enough. Anything that lot they spoke to last night achieve in life can only be an improvement.

Pushing the country to the brink of what.are you some kind of union flag waver remember the war were British you know holes in your knees cap doffer.Sad to think i could be sitting in the same ground as you.Youd be better off at castle greyskull beside the rest of the Scotland haters.

😄 A goal and an assist against Dundee is a decent way to kick off his Championship season!

Except when we had Vaughan fit, everything came through him.

Well you never paid us for him while he was under contact, so it'll go to a court? where it's decided how much we're owed.

Your owed f**k all. He left under a clause in his contract that if your we’re shite he didn’t have to stick around a witness another year in league 1 with the rest of you diddies.

We didn’t just randomly sign players that are under contract, you can’t get them registered for a start.

Edit-I’ve see a couple of quotes from rovers claiming their entitled to training compensation.

A) this is an odd situation as he was released from his contract, not the normal moving on at the end of your contract so I doubt any tribunal will look favourably on that, possible even refusing to hear any case. I will have been difficult for rovers to follow the correct procedures as these are all based around a player’s contract coming to and end.

B) 1 years training compensation for a league 1 player amounts to a bag of balls and maybe a few bibs if your lucky.

He was under contract til the end of this season, with a clause allowing him to speak to other clubs should we not be promoted. There is definitely money due.

Edit: it's something like that anyway!

This. Compensation wasn't agreed between the two clubs, therefore it goes to tribunal to decide what's a fair price for the player.
