Scary Bear
For next season, it would be nice to start the season with a real right-back and a real left-back. That would help. I think that leaving the young full-backs on the bench this season has been a mistake. In past seasons full-backs have been quite creative for us. This season has been all up one week down the next. That doesn’t make for happy fans. I’m still hopeful that it can be one of those strange seasons where we accomplish something good and you’re left wondering ‘how did that happen?’ But with us defending the way we do, that’s a hope rather than an expectation. Frank conner
I'd like to see Watson and McKay given a chance if it doesn't work fair enough but to not even give it a go us wrong. The defending has been really poor especially yesterday something has to change but it looks like Mcglynns stubbornness hasn't.

Watson has been given plenty chances this season and he’s shown he’s clearly not ready. Would agree on McKay though.
Frank conner
When was the last time Watson played? He might well have improved the way we defended in the second half yesterday he couldn't do much worse he's certainly not going to get the chance to improve sitting on the bench. When we were 5-1 up and cruising against stenny a couple of the young players should have been brought on for some game time.
King Kebab
Nice to know we’re not already playing diddy football. That cheers me up.No, you are, it's just that you're playing Full Time Diddy football at the moment!!!Or attempting too at least!!! Exactly this Quite laughable, they,d rather see us get beat than there own team winNot at all lad, but when the stars align and both things happen, well... it would be churlish not to mention it!!!

It’s not like the people playing full-back are doing much and they are supposedly ready. People were saying Bates wasn’t ready when he was here. They seem to forget that the likes of Raith Rovers is where these players develop and get ‘ready’. Saying that, Bates looked a player from his first appearances in the first team. He was just unfortunate that we had a good defence at the time. Edited January 27, 2019 by Scary Bear
Michael W
Granted Watson isn't great, but we are playing a CB out of position at RB currently. And our current defending isn't much to write home about... Ridiculous McGlynn has chosen not to sign a defender. Or make changes in that area with what we have.

He was just unfortunate that we had a good defence at the time. People also said Reece Donaldson, Lee Bryce and Colin Wilson should be getting more game time and look where they are now. You assume playing a young player every week will automatically make them better, that is not the case. Exposing players to a level they’re clearly not ready for does absolutely nothing for their development. Watson would benefit greatly from a spell away on loan at a lower level where he can get regular games and develop at a level he is ready for. Hopefully if we get a right back in he is allowed to do that. In saying that and going against popular opinion, I actually think Murray has been fine at right back in recent weeks. He’s clearly not the long term solution but I think he has actually been the better of our two full backs recently. Crane has been nowhere near as good as I was expecting.

Hank Scorpio
Add me to the underwhelmed by Callum Crane group. Looks nothing like the player that played against us last season. Possibly even worse than Rory McKeown at defending the back post, too.
baillieinleeds
If McGlynn won’t use McKay or Watson put them out on loan. Stubbornness and an unwillingness to sort out the defence when we have very capable youths ready to jump in. We’ve lost the league. So give them the chance

Ding Dang Doo
It's not just the defence where our problem is, we seem to get overrun every game in central midfield. Gillespie seems to blow hot and cold and Wedderburn either wants to sit and play as deep as Bene and Davo or push forward but then get caught out cause he has no pace to track back.Shoring up the middle of the park for an away fixture would make the world of difference.
Ro Sham Bo
It beggars belief that for 2 seasons our away form has been the polar opposite of our home form but none of our managers have been able to come up with a plan better than play the same line up /formation we play at home.
