mrpaddyx
Why? Did well at Thistle and United. I'd be reasonably happy with him. United fans I know hated him. Were glad to see the back of him when he left.
Deeboy
United fans I know hated him. Were glad to see the back of him when he left. The same ones who lauded him when they were walloping teams by 4 on a near weekly basis?
Highlandmagyar
Stay well clear of McNamara. He would have you.playing some great stuff, but he doesn't have a plan B, if things are going wrong. Can't get his teams to close out a game when things are tight. A liability.
Raithie
Who will follow Ray out then biys? Not many if any. The bulk of our squad is already signed up for next season.
Rovers1992/1993
Who will follow Ray out then biys? The only 3 that are possibilities are Craig Barr( CB ), Aiden Connolly ( RW )and Rory Mckeown( LB )..
Beachbum
McKinnon won't be rushed. But don't get your hopes up, it's from the Daily Ranger. ETA - He's going to leave some time but wouldn't it be wonderful if it wasn't to Dundee United. Edited May 10, 2016 by Beachbum
Scottydog
Probably just a case of Ray playing hardball with Thomson to get what he wants both for himself and taking his sidekicks with him. But even if Ray doesn't go now, unless he goes public and nails his colours firmly to the mast I'm struggling to see which other players he would be able to convince to come to us as long as there is speculation that he wants to go or will be leaving just as soon as the right offer come in. Perhaps awarding him with an improved and extended contract and him doing a spiel about the 5 yr plan and promotion would help there but IMO the latter is more likely than the former. Meanwhile we sit and wait.
Double Jack D
Obviously waiting for the Hibs vacancy to materialise. Unlikely he'll stay with us, but would be glorious if he bumped off United.
Broken Algorithms
Obviously waiting for the Hibs vacancy to materialise. Unlikely he'll stay with us, but would be glorious if he bumped off United. Agree. That'd be hilarious if he ended up at Easter Road. Especially given Thompson pretty much calling on the third blow of the whistle at full time on Saturday.
Dunning1874
McNamara seemed to be doing a good job with Thistle, but it only took a couple of months after Archibald replaced him to realise that he really hadn't done that great a job after all. He'd done a good job of building a squad, but tactically Archibald shat all over him and their form improved massively as soon as he left. At Dundee United he inherited a strong squad with some excellent youth prospects coming through and was delighted to split it up as quickly as possible due to the cut of transfer fees going straight into his pocket and showed no ability to rebuild it - at Thistle he had the foundations of a squad in place left by McCall to build a squad on top of, at United he had to build a squad after dismantling it himself and made a complete mess of it. He's followed that up by being a total disaster at York, with only 5 wins in 30 games.

kbaldwin
For people who've been wondering about their season ticket who've done the finance agreement, I just got a phone call there asking what seat I wanted and would be sent out in the post.

CALDERON
Nah. Nowhere near fit enough for us. Did well for Alloa against us though!
renton
We've signed Ryan McCord...didn't get much game time at you did he? Last played an hour against Rangers at Ibrox in february, and before that 18th dec vs. Morton. Started the season well enough, and is a tidy passer of the ball, with a very good range of passing on him but didn't have the mobility that we needed. Would probably have been out the team earlier but for Callachan's injury. Surprised he dropped down to league 2, to be honest. Raithie
We've signed Ryan McCord...didn't get much game time at you did he? He'll do a job at your level. Clearly wasn't favoured by McKinnon. Thought he'd be a decent signing for us but never really produced the goods. A certain poster on here will be happy he's away
P.C
Real shame had a cracking start to the season and just fell away. All the best to him I'm sure he will run riot in that league.
