Rovers are the 16th best supported team in the leagues and we currently sit...19th.

Unfortunately, we are 19th best supported in the leagues. All 12 Premier League sides plus Dundee, Partick, Ayr and Inverness have higher average crowds this season according to Transfermarkt. Falkirk and Dunfermline also have higher crowds. So we are 19th although could potentially be behind Arbroath too after this weekend as there is only 34 difference in the averages.

Given crowds don’t really matter to Queens Park due to their wealthy backer you would imagine we are exactly where we should be in the league based on our crowds/budget.

As someone else said, just relieved that we still have our squad intact after the fire sale hints a few weeks ago. If Akio is an upgrade on Fredrieksen, which lets face it he probably is, then we are in slightly better shape than we were. With the uncertainty around ownership the investment needed to add to our squad in any significant way was never going to happen, so this is probably as good as we could have hoped for.

So let’s all sit back and relax, avoid relegation and wait for our new owners to come in and propel us to the Premiership next season…or something like that.

Pretty remarkable from our point of view. Something that’s steadily been built up too over a number of years not a flash in the pan effort.

We have certainly had some battle over the past 5/6 years. That League 1 title race was a lot of fun and so many memorable away days in Kirkcaldy. Will always remain a favourite

Wasn't really a title race in the end tbh

Aye, nothing particularly surprising in that article. Huge respect to Frederiksen for uprooting his life and coming to a new country to try to progress his career (especially after recovering from a brain tumour), by all accounts he seemed a nice guy and a good ambassador for the club off the pitch. Definite parallels to Nando Mendy in that regard. Ultimately though, it didn't work out and we simply don't have the space or time to give him a run out in the hope he might eventually get up to speed, so this is best for all parties.

Quite a few of the Scandinavian leagues start in the spring, including the Faroese league, so hopefully the timing of us releasing Big John gives him a chance to find a club closer to home soon.

Pretty gutted that it didn't work out but quite happy with how it has been handled. Whether it frees up a wage for this season or puts some money in the kitty for next is easy by me.

Akio looks an upgrade on Frederikson but time will tell. Also having Gullan and Vaughan fit again means we are far stronger up top than we were at the start of the season.

Wonder if theres any loans in the pipeline

Heard a rumour of an experienced centre half signing. Also someone posted on Facebook that we may get a striker from St Johnstone on loan. The one fitting the bill is Theo Blair but not sure if there is any truth in either.

Can you think of any free agent experienced CH we’d have the money and interest to take?

We could do with another Steven Anderson type loan. An experienced CH to shore up the defence and help to control games and see out leads.

I’m be more up for a MacLean type if we’re taking Steven’s…surely he’d straighten up the defence while scoring a few.

I,d take attendances announced by some clubs with a pinch of salt. Some like to inflate their attendances for some reason
