RRFC_Liam
The 1 thing we could look back and say about McGlynn and Smudger was at least they had us prepared and ready for the season starting none of this it’s a hard market/waiting on teams to loan players pish they got them in and ready unlike Murray that’s still hasn’t done enough where we need be and that’s the season started

Are we really getting value for the multi year deals handed out to Stanton, Gullan, Ross (plus development fee). That's before you factor in 2 year deal for Keatings (presumably paid up?) as well as significant transfer fee for Goodwillie and a big wage.

Murray must have known himself that once all our CBs fucked off we would need new ones. The defence is all on him. Surely he must have been looking ahead to getting signings in for Airdrie with one eye on them being in the Championship? I’m assuming they were fine for defenders and forwards. Either way, this is where we are. Hopefully Murray can get a couple of decent players in soon, and not just bodies to be squad filler. If not, it’ll be a tough season.
SirJimmyofNic
For me he's (Murray) got till the end of the first quarter to get this fecking sorted, and I'm sure a good few supporters will be venting their spleen at him well before then if this continues
Been going too long
Airdrie started very slowly last season as well then hit a good run, he has made everything difficult for himself by how he has went about it eg failing to qualify from league cup as basically he gambled and it backfired by waiting on whatever players he really wanted. He needs to sort this and bringing in 19 yr old kids isn’t the answer when it’s character he’s questioning in his interview

Both elements were not good enough. Hence the reason why that should’ve been a priority, and now we’re left with absolute nobodies. The team we had last season would’ve put 6 past us today. We have a manager that preached the quality over quantity pish. Where’s the quality. And don’t say he didn’t have the time to find these players. We have a kid up front from a team that could barely lay a glove on us last season. Aka Killie and untried and test defenders in Ngwenya and Nolan. Easily beaten by an actual team. Not the shambles we rocked up with.

We've signed a 20 Yr old striker thar couldn't get a look in at Killie last season. Yet we keep hearing that we are offered players on a daily basis. There must be some quality in these players as well as dross. We cannot rely on Vaughan pulling us out the shit. We cannot rely on Lang coming back in 3 months or so and save our season, we need players now. A start would be a 2nd CH and a fuckinf number 9. If Poplatnik isn't coming or not the answer then go for Gozie he showed enough last season to show he can hold the ball up and caused our defence problems.
San Starko Rover
Time to unpack the buckets and spades if that’s the end of our transfer dealings. Was happy to write off the League cup as glorified friendlies but add me to the knicker wetter list. Seriously concerned by our recruitment and how we’re shoehorning square pegs into round holes. We need another CB and a Striker but the CB is an absolute priority.

I think we will sign more players and it now looks like Murray has had realisation that he needs to as well so our business isn’t done, I’d say we need more that 1 Centre Back tbh

SirJimmyofNic
Just listened to his post match interview he's clearly not happy, but in all honestly he's brought the bulk if this on himself I don't know what hes spent so far or indeed if there's any kitty left, and Sept is still a long way off for us to get Vaughan, Mathews and Spencer back, I'm just hoping we aint gonna do a Dunfermline

We were bad in that second half, no doubt about it, but that bit in bold is complete overreaction. We couldn't score last season either.

RRFC_Liam
people saying Budget this Budget that, would he of really taken the job on a 2 year deal if he wasn’t promised a budget that he needs for us too compete or what he requires what we need to get in to help us kick on? because that would’ve been negotiated during the discussions
