Broken Algorithms
Dave McKay away to Queen of the South. No surprise as he was surplus ro requirements with us. Desperately needs game time and he didn't look like he was at the level we needed.

He was also never going to be any more than cover for an injury crisis and at his age now he needs to be finding regular football.

Ex Machina
McInroy who was at Airdrie for the first part of last season would be a good addition if he could be convinced IMO. Also seems to have done well at Ayr in the second half of the season in the Championship.

R.R.FC
Cammy Ballantyne has left Montrose in search of full time football. Would be happy with him as a replacement for Tumilty, someone Ian Murray will know all about from League One the last few years.

Also "likes to work with a tight squad" - imagine that was a huge win in the BoD's eyes. So, unless we are moving some guys on, there isn't a whole lot of room to bring guys in. Minimum I think we'd need - assuming no one moved on from the contracted players and not counting out of contract players would be: 1x RB 2 x CB, 1 x CM, 2x striker. That would replace Tumilty, give us short term injury cover for Berra, and long term for Lang. Assume that CM was Spencer to give us 4 midfield options for likely 3 berths (which is stretching us pretty thin) in Spencer, Stanton, Matthews and Arnott. Two strikers to add a different option to Gullan and to cover for the likely partial availability of Vaughan. Presumably Easton could do something of that No 10 role leaving us looking for 1 target man type striker, if he were actually interested in coming over. Still leaves some deficiencies in the squad (left back for example) and running with 3 CBs until Lang comes back but surely that is the minimum we can expect to run without quickly getting into selection issues. Agree with the needs list, mostly. Starting RB is critical; a starting CB is important, as is a backing one*, I think two mids and one forward/striker…not a blooming winger…is the remainder. I’d expect Coulson to get another year on loan somewhere, possibly Mitchell too, which might allow a second forward/winger to be signed. *On the odds and sods list, a decent covering RB/CB would be ideal behind the new RB to help the CB’s as well, killing two birds with one stone.

If you can also add these two players that will hopefully significantly weaken one of our opponents on the beach next season! Now, if only the Pars would sign Pressley ...
renton
If Tumilty is away, we should be looking at Ballantyne at Montrose...

ohnononowheredidRossgo
Good appointment, strong squad already. If he can add 3 or 4 players of quality and work the loan system we should be in or around the playoffs again. Based on his history he's a builder so hopefully we give him time, refreshing to hear he's clearly learnt from his time in management, definitely a better choice at this stage than Thomson who's only seen things go one way in his management career. A lot can be learnt from getting things wrong.

Raith_Raver
As some have said he's articulate and says the right things - fitness, high pressing, application, and as he has proved likes slick football. Revealed he knows and likes how we play and the type of player we have, hinting appreciation towards McGlynn. Not so sure the players will fancy a six day week 'tho! -
Roverss
Brody Paterson would be a great shout at left back to bring in. Energetic young full back who likes to get up and down the pitch. Out of contract in the summer, gained promotion with Queen’s Park and narrowly lost out on promotion on loan to airdrie last season under Ian Murray, would lead to competition for spots at left back.
Raithie
Notice in the press conference video he says he's confident of retaining Spencer. Have heard Spencer is happy to stay if someone would speak to him about a contract however Falkirk are keen on him, which isn't new information.
