The New Raith Rovers Thread

Will be interesting to see if Fulham would give us another player for next season. Abraham clearly like 4/5th choice striker and merely came in due to shortages. Anyone watch any of the games Bowie was involved in and seen any midfielders who could maybe do a job for us at our level?

Probably add a 0 after each of those numbers

Fair play to Ross, not wanting to play against the Rovers next season.

You would love to see him back here, but he's worthy of an offer in the Premiership. That would be our Hendry replacement.

It didn't really happen for him at Hearts so delighted for him that he's found some form. I am still bitter we sold him when we did - we'd have won the league and spared ourselves some of the losses suffered in L1. Worked out alright though in the end.

If they can send us a player that's good enough next time, we'll give him game time!

Correct! Thanks - will edit original post. He played no. 15 if I remember? Was a class act in the 2-2 at Starks.

Aye that's Iain Wilson. We signed him from Killie last summer on a 2 year deal. Was injured for both playoff games unfortunately.

Probably not strong enough at that age for the Championship but Delano Splatt plays with Bowie. You’ll find him in this https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57093297

Aye that was a big boost when the team lines came out both games. Shame (from a Rovers perspective) that he has another year. He might of been one to throw a bit of cash at as a replacement for Hendry. That's my scouting exhausted, over to you John!

On the topic of central midfielders that may be available, would Harry Paton at Ross County be an option? Out of contract at the end of the season and appears to have fallen out of favour under Hughes.

Was really impressed with him when when was at Stenny, good footballer and still only 22. Think he would be an excellent signing if he was available.

Good shout. One stumbling block though could be the fact that Ross County will presumably be due a development fee if they offer him a new deal.

Charlie Adam won’t be signing for us ffs. He’ll be on about £5k a week at Dundee for starters.

And the rest.

With Hendry certain to be gone, I think Brad Spencer becomes the most important of the Musonda/Spencer/Armstrong trio.

Not sold on that view, as, of the three, I would rate Spencer the least important. He’s more hit or miss than Armstrong and certainly less important than Musonda would be. When he’s on, he’s very good, but when he’s off, he’s infuriating.
