No delusions, we are bigger than Raith, but aren't that massive in the grand scheme of things.

And the people of Dunfermline support their team better than Kirkcaldy, where an Ice Hockey team is better supported. Unlucky.

You are a twat. Mines is bigger than yours, f**k sake are you still in the bloody playground. Who cares if the Flyers get a bigger support the clue is in the name Fife Flyers not Kirkcaldy Flyers.

If we want more fans to attend then we need to start giving a better deal to youngsters. Under 12's should be much cheaper in particular so that more families are encouraged to attend.

The average cost for this league is under £24 but our Board don't seem to think long term.

Has someone just tried to claim Dunfermline is well supported in Dunfermline??
Everywhere you go there’s a Rangers or Celtic shirt!

Or Hearts and Hibs. There’s more people from Edinburgh that live in that shite hole than actual Townies

Clearly not as bad as Kirkcaldy though. Again the people of Dunfermline back their team in much greater numbers than the people of Kirkcaldy back Raith Rovers. Both Towns have near enough the same population. Why is this?

To be honest Kirkcaldy was the largest town in Fife. Dunfermline is full of the Lothian types. Your fucking desperation for more fans filling your shit hole stadium hasn’t materialised. They actually care about their own City pish thanks for playing

You make yourself believe the Edinburgh shite you are spewing during this childish hissy fit but deep down you know it's factually incorrect.

Excellent post!  I know many people who don’t live in Kirkcaldy that support ice hockey and not the Rovers

Our biggest issue seems to be the historical debt. We "upgraded" starks and spent money we shouldn't have on duds. The gangsters, anelka etc just seen us plummet and people lost interest. The best thing mcglynn has done in both spells is to form a bond with the community with the squads we have. It's something the current board seem to really want to push and I'm all for it. It should hopefully see more people attend (when possible)we are going to be fighting a recession in the UK moving forward though so that will make things harder in that regard.

A couple of decent years in the Championship, without spending like drunken Pars sailors, and we should be able to put a serious dent in that debt...if this season gets off the ground. I expect his season to be a “lost” season for many clubs, as they focus on not losing money, or losing as little as possible. JMcG’s ability to find and develop young talent is exactly what Raith needs now, the unfortunate reality of it is that young talent will not likely be part of a future Raith side for a while as we see the need to maximize value now. Bowie could have been a very good player for us, but the opportunity to get some cash and possible future considerations for him ruled the roost...not saying that was wrong, but it’s a shame. I’m pretty sure that Tait (and possibly Hendry) showing well in the Championship with result in their moving up and out before the Rovers do...hopeful for a nice sum of cash and to help their careers.
