The downside to using the money just now is it isn't gaurenteed. I'd probably prefer the club didn't dip into it till January. That way they will know what's in the bank and how many people will have dropped out etc. On the subject of money, does anyone know when the tribunal for Nisbet is or has it been and gone and ive missed us getting he haw again ?

grumswall
Can't imagine it will be much at all. He was only with us for one season, even if that season does seem to have been the best he's had development wise.

Ro Sham Bo
That's almost a year McGlynn has been in charge and he appears not to have learned a single thing. We still continue to concede goals at a ridiculous rate and throw away leads away from home. The guy is a dinosaur in the modern game who thinks we play great football because we spend half the match passing the ball along our back four in order to boost possession stats.Already counting the days until him and that gormless clown Smith are gone.

Season after season we contrive to lose away from home. McGlynn should’ve done away with Bene and Davo when he had the chance. He didn’t replace Buchanan and Nisbet either. We’re relying on two kids and Allan.

CALDERON
He will be under pressure, and rightly so, should we continue in today's manner. The way in which that game was lost echoes so many from last season which is incredibly frustrating. However, 6 from 9 is not the kind of form that should get a manager sacked after 3 games. The way in which the players react to this is the vital part. For whatever reason, conceding goals remains the issue. The more things that change with no improvement, the more pressure goes to the manager. Whilst I don't think Benedictus and Davidson have been by any means poor this season, when a team is leaking goals every single week, and have been for about 18 months, then it's incredibly difficult not have suspicions over an unchanged centre back pairing. Something has to change somewhere to stop conceding goals. We've lost Nisbet, but look like we can adequately cover a decent goals for total throughout the team. But the pressure is massively on now as to how they are kept out. Mcgurn will help, but we can't rely on wonder saves. However, its likely that regardless of what happens, McGlynn will only ever be one bad result away from fans demanding he goes. There are a proportion of fans who are desperate for him to fail.

The thing is, we don’t want him to fail. We just need him to address the problems. If it means going cap in hand to the board for a little more money to strengthen the defence and recognised striker would definitely be a start. Then we’ll see how competitive Davo and Bene are to get back in the team. Mendy was a mistake and thankfully hasn’t been utilised this far.

There hasn't been a peep about wanting Mcglynn gone for over a fortnight, then within 30 mins of the first league defeat the shouts for him to go start tbf. Mendy should be given the chance to recover from his concussion before the final verdict is cast, although the initial signs were worrying at best. McGlynn should be given the opportunity to bring in loan players, and see how we look with Vaughan in the team. If we still see the same failings at the end of Q1, then it may be time to act. That would still give enough time for someone to develop a playoff winning side which, like it or not, is the realistic aim for the season Edited August 17, 2019 by CALDERON

Hadji
No one wants McGlynn to fail, all anyone whats is him to fix whats been glaringly obvious for the past 12-16 months n thats the inability to defend properly. Davo and Bene can't play well together with the latter being a total week link can't win a header panics when players run at him. We play some excellent stuff at times but then shoot our selfs in the foot by just not doing basics, getting goal side of a man, pressing, closing down just winning a clean header. We have only managed kept a clean sheet in the Dumbarton game but ad say that was more down to Dumbarton being poor than us being solid. 3 against Dundee 4 against Inverness 1 against Peterhead 3 against Cove 2 against Clyde 3 against Stranraer No way we can properly challange till its sorted out.
Raith Against The Machine
There's a direct correlation between misusing apostrophes and overreacting to pre-season defeats. See also: inadequate spelling and early league losses.
