Also, Rovers have commented on the post on FB about the Berwick friendly being cancelled.

//
FURTHER STATEMENT FROM RRFC:

Both Berwick Rangers and ourselves wanted the game to go ahead.

On Friday we were contacted by Northumbria Police who told us they had “high level intelligence” that the game was being targeted by right wing extremists out to cause trouble and that there was a safety issue for fans.

They advised that the safest action was to cancel the match.

Reluctantly we have done so - given what the police have told us there was no alternative decision possible.

Fans' safety comes first.

They let an Orange walk take place in Cowdenbeath today, which was the greatest risk for trouble?

Hopefully that means nothing more than we are only having a wee look at him (though still can’t fathom why) because Rory isn’t available rather than Smith is actually contemplating signing him. If it’s the latter Smith should be registered as clinically blind as well as incompetent.

That’s twice you’ve mentioned Rory Brian. He’s left us now..

If you watch how slow the goalkeeper was at getting across for Partick's goal, you'll see it's definitely for real.
Never seen a keeper get down slower than when Hart let JT's sclaff in during the 2-1 home win v Ayr!

I'm going to pretend it's a wind up. He was honking against us, and to try and sign him would be ridiculous.

Have you got a link to any highlights from today?

Only the Partick goal.

Can’t really make it out from that angle but it looks like him.

Good luck to him if he signs but he left us because he wasn’t a guaranteed starter so strange that he’s on trial with you lot.

glitch, I thought my initial post failed. Has Rory gone? Still not seen anything official though I said this was the likely case 2 months ago.

Only Partick's goal it would appear.

No sign yet of Nisbet's De Mariaesque strike from 25 yards and less sign of Buchanan 's Mbappe like finish.

I'm trying to convince myself that Hart was only invited along to make up the numbers and we're not seriously interested in having a look at him after everything that happened last season, but if this was the case why give him game time?

The players' page has now been updated. Brian, McLeod Kay and Bell have gone and the four new signings added.

Going by the link. This’ll more likely be the starting line up for the season. It’s going to be a struggle. We can’t seem to tempt players to the club as Father Stone aka Barry Smith can’t sell the club to players when Dumbarton offer jobs outside of the game. How can anyone else in this division offer better than that.

This isn’t a new thing. It’s been happening for ages.

Rory McAllister was at Brechin thanks to James Lammond plumbing. My mate played for a junior team who used to and probably still do dish out engineering jobs.

I think it says more about Raiths current situation than Dumbartons to be honest. Maybe PT would’ve been more sensible.

If financially it’s working out better for X player to go part time then there’s not a whole lot BS can do about that. It’s not his fault. We aren’t missing out on players because BS ‘can’t sell the club’ them either.
