The New Raith Rovers Thread

Recommended Posts

It's a problem and as seen it hasn't really worked out for Clyde, Airdrie or St Johnstone but it might benefit the Rovers to include Glenrothes more if they were to market themselves as the Team of both towns.

I've said this for years. We don't do enough to make people from Glenrothes feel included with the club. It's a town of about 35k people and we're being naive not to tap into it.

That's right we've done nothing about tapping into the Glenrothes area. I've been in the Roary suit umpteen times in Glenrothes schools. We've had a presence at every school fair and local fete. We ran a subsidised mini bus to Starks Park every home game from Glenrothes last season. Naive really!!!

We're not there yet. If we lose next week QoS have an easy run in and could easily win their last four games.

I think we have just got enough about us to get the 2 points which we need, we have been grinding out results and with only 1 defeat in 11 shows us to be in great form. Although I admit we shouldn't count ourselves in the playoffs until it is mathematically impossible for us not be, I still think we will be in them

Ahh more negativity!

It wasn't every game last season anyway and I live in Glenrothes.

Anyway my point was more along the line of if we had a stadium closer to Glenrothes the people there (or here for me) would feel more included. From where I am it's about a 25 min drive drive to Starks with having to get through the town traffic.

Anyway....as a club we need to build on the performances on the pitch. This is the perfect time to try and get some new fans in. One more home game against Falkirk so let's offer proper discounted prices. Let's pack out the first play off match at home on the Wednesday night. These matches could lay the seeds for next season and we need to make the most of it.

I'm absolutely buzzing about the team at the moment and cannot wait for next match. I haven't spoken to a fan recently who's said anything differently.

Always had a soft spot for the Rovers. Ma Gran and Grandpa ran the Football Arms and stayed in Greenloanings in Kirkcaldy. Better still Raith used to have an ice cream van on the terraces, they fucked Celtic in the Coca Cola cup final, fucked up Rangers promotion party today. What's not love about them ðŸ‘
