Quick Question Thread

I'm going away in the summer and it involves a connecting flight. I've only ever flown direct before so I'm wanting to know what happens.

Is it just a case of me getting off the plane, get luggage, out the door and then going through the whole process again or is there a bit where you can just sit and not need to go through check in etc again?

For what it is worth it's a five hour wait in Amsterdam.

Schiphol Airport has a casino on site - probably not a good idea though!

I've never bought tickets for a Scotland game before, so when do tickets for the Wales game go on general sale? I am a SSC member but my brother and one of my mates are also wanting a ticket each (neither of them are members), and it appears I'm restricted to one ticket just now.

You should get an email a week or so before the general sale, being a member of the supporters club. I'm not a member of anything but when I bought tickets for one of the games a few years ago I must have got added to a mailing list so I get all the emails telling me about tickets etc. With the form we are in I would imagine you'd pick up as many as you needed. To be on the safe side though buy them as soon as they become available and you'd have the best chance of getting 3 together in a decent area.

Its half-term, my brother is in 6th year and my folks have gone to Tenerife for the week. I've just come home from work and there's about 25 folk in my house (which is now a fucking tip) smoking what smells like weed, getting pished and other general dickhead behaviour. I went fucking mental when I walked in, and I think a few of them have left out of sheer terror.

Surely I have the right to be fucking livid and kick their fucking arses out this house right now? I don't care if 5 of them live in South fucking Queensferry.

You gotta wait for your connecting flight, not nice if stuck in manchester at 4 am with 6 hours to your next flight.

I know that but what I'm asking is how restricted am I in terms of where I can go. The wait isn't really a problem unless there's no bar.

Same rules as normal check in.. two whores afore...

:P

Eta- You can leave the airport if you want.

Good stuff cheers. Yes, a stroke of luck being stuck in Amsterdam of all places!

Depending on which airlines you are travelling with, you can have your luggage checked right through to your final destination, removing the need to check in again in Amsterdam.

All you would do is come off flight A, follow signs for connections and go through security again into the departure lounge for flight B.

Pretty sure there'll be a bar to keep you entertained.

I think you should post on P&B first......oh wait.

Looks like you weren't invited, go to your room, cry in pillow, everything's gonna be alright. ;)

Not to sure you will get that, but the ones smoking weed will.

From the SSC email:

You can buy your exclusive SSC ticket here from 10.00am on Friday 8 February if you haven't already taken up the Scotland Season Ticket.

The sale will end at 5.00pm on Wednesday 27 February, so you’ll have almost 3 weeks to buy. Following this, there will be a general public sale from Friday 1 March.

TICKET PRICES:

West Stand £25

East Stand (Family) £25/£10 (under 16*)

North Stand £32 (limited availability)

South Stand Upper £32

South Stand Lower £35

Would it be worthwhile creating an Instagram thread on here for people to share their photos? Just a thought.

Nope, Instagram is used exclusively by hipster losers who think that putting a filter on their photos makes them Kevin Carter.

Not really. Granted, a lot of hipsters descend onto Instagram to try and be funny/clever & make-believe models, but you do get some pretty funny/good photos on Instagram.

The most annoying thing that is regulrarly posted is photos of food.

In all seriousnes though, I actually don't know how the ones from SQ got home, after I kicked them out at midnight. Couldn't give a f**k either, my brother and his mates are utter utter scumbags.
