How straightforward is it to install a new washing machine? Is it just a case of:

Unplug old washing machine

Disconnect hot / cold hoses from old washing machine

Remove old washing machine

Move new washing machine in

Connect hot / cold hoses to new washing machine

Plug in new washing machine

?

And does it make any difference if it's a washer / dryer?

Make sure you remove the "transit bars" from your new machine before you use it. They're there to protect the drum during transit.

It'll show you clearly on the instructions..

May seem obvious - but make sure you have turned valves to 'off' before removing the pipes from the old machine.

Also make sure you install the u shaped piece of plastic over the waste pipe - this prevents backflow into the machine.
