That sounds exceptional.

Did you get it before Peggy?

Believe me, everybody will be getting it before me in 2021.

(sorry, that whizzed right over my head, and that was the best I could come up with)

Agreed. Disappointingly common these days, however.

I have a delightful steak and sausage pie trembling with fear in the fridge right now. Can wholeheartedly recommend as an improvement on the plain steak.

Another trembling pie lies before you?

Two questions.

1.  Was there a “2020 predictions thread” last year at this time?

2.  Did anyone predict a global pandemic?

Are you looking for a Chinese bot to blame Covid on?

How much would it cost to get a brickie to make a 20 foot wide and 5 foot tall wall about 9 feet tall?

Want to try that one again?

He wants to add 4 foot of height to his wall.

Right.

Is the wall single skin?  Might be issues building a 9 foot wall all single skin without pillars.  If you have to add pillars you’d have to do some foundation work which would bump up the price.

This might help.

Seriously, if it’s just for privacy it might be more practical to put some sort of timber trellis on top of the brickwork.

There's more headers there than a Rangers supporters bus.

Every five course is the norm.

amazing thanks! It's the figure 2 rather than the figure 1.

Yeah I have a good idea of what it would cost to do it with timber (about £3-400 if I do it myself), my only issue with that is for half of those 20 feet a great big shed is in the way, so I'll be extremely limited in how I can secure half the timbers to the wall, I was just wondering if it would be much more to just have the wall itself made taller. The ground level of the neighbours on the other side is much higher, so 9 feet on my side is more like 5 feet on their side.

How much would it cost to dig a big fuckoff trench in the neighbour's garden?

Are all cats goofy?

Goofy was a dug, m9.

(yes, to one degree or another, especially if you leave some catnip kicking about)
