jimmy boo
They sell them in Scottish Aldi stores jimmy, 4 in a packet. Is it just a hard roll to break your teeth on? Doesn't sound very appealing.

Here's a fine example of the species, a slab of orkney mature cheddar in a well fired is a real favourite Edited May 27, 2019 by Silverton End
ICTJohnboy
I would slide a couple of soft fried eggs into that one. Perfect brekkie.

I always keep a few rolls in the freezer - not quite as good as the freshly bought variety, but if allowed to defrost naturally they are okay. Might just take one out shortly and crack open an egg or 2.

Cosmic Joe
Doesn't every decent-sized town in Scotland have a local baker that produces a morning roll these days? Pretty sad state of affairs if you have to rely on a supermarket...

That's a buttery^^^ jimmy, North East/Moray delicacy, warm it up & apply jam. Other pics were crispy morning rolls, insert a filling (lorne sausage) & enjoy. Bread typically here just falls to pieces seconds after being introduced to a bit of sausage or, heaven forbid, dunked in a bowl of homemade lentil soup. So I now make my own. I feel like Richard Briers in The Good Life. Turns out I make a cracking loaf of bread and morning rolls. Now if I could only get my mitts on a slice or two of square... If you're already baking, you might as well butcher as well. https://www.weschenfelder.co.uk/blog/scottish-lorne-sausage-recipe/
