You absolute poofter. Anything more than once a month is absolutely positively back aisle territory.

Quarterly to twice yearly is the optimum.

I can't believe you're giving someone shit about their hair, you curly f**k.

My 5s team got 55 quid from a tournament we were in today, and wanted to put it towards football tops

Does anyone known somewhere we could find really rubbish retro tops for like £10-20 quid each. Like the purple spurs away top from the late 90's - sponsered by Hewlett Packard - or something along those lines. Really a retro set of tops from the early premiership days.

How about this?

How easy/expensive is it to basically start maintaining your own car, from scratch?

Essentially, I've been given my Gran's car because she's stopped driving due to being about as blind Stevie Wonder's pet mole.

It's a 1999 Ford Ka, and it's purple. I'd rather not give money to some cowboy mechanics should a problem arise, if it's possible to do it myself.

Now, I've got f**k all knowledge, and f**k all tools or shit at the moment, but surely in this day and age with the internet at the ready, any problems can be diagnosed and sorted for much cheapness?

So, is it easy enough for me to potentially go down this route, or should I stop being a dick and just take it to a garage should it develop a puncture or a bent aerial?

A lot of cars are designed to make it pretty much impossible for owners to maintain themselves. My sister's car is designed in such a way that I can't even change a bulb, because of how cramped everything is under the bonnet, and it needs special tools to do so. I suspect this is to stop people who don't know what they're doing from attempting stuff and making the car unsafe, but it sure sticks in your throat when you've to pay an auto-electrician £30 to change a headlamp.

A 1999 car should be alright, though. Get a Haynes book, a decent toolkit and a set of trolley jacks and axle stands and learn how to do basic things like change a wheel, change the oil and filter, replace bulbs, keep fluid levels maintained and whatnot, and that's a decent start. Depending on how confident you become at that you can progress further.

There are always going to be jobs that you'll need to take it to a garage for, as they'll require specialist equipment and often more than one person to do correctly / safely.

Make sure you keep it in oil & water, keep the tyres pumped up & you'll be fine.If you need a repair over £500 take it to the scrappies & buy a banger with the proceeds.

Q: Since when did checked shirts apparently become fashionable?

Q (b): When will they go back out of fashion so I can shop with a wide choice of casual clothing that doesn't look fucking stupid?

I think they look smart as fuck left open with a vest underneath and the sleeves rolled up.

But maybe that's just me.

A vest?! Is this a Dexy's Midnight Runners video or something?

You city folk have strange, strange fashion tastes.

I would only wear one under a top/cardigan. Don't quite have the build to get away with wearing one with nothing over it.

Quite a while. I remember buying one in H&M 8 years ago and there was loads to choose from. I personally like checked shirts, but I know what you mean, fashion choices seem to have narrowed quite a lot.

It's okay if you happen to like the checked shirt, they have red, blue, yellow, purple and turquoise of those. Fresh out of anything else until the fashion turns though.
