You don't have much choice in work but outside of it then they can all bolt. Last job that I had I was invited to their Christmas night out 3 years running, all paid for.

You not going would have halved the cost.

Got into conversation with the Sky boy in the Howgate centre yesterday. He upgraded my broadband. In amongst the conversation Mrs B mentioned all we seem to download these days is episodes of Mr Tumble AKA Justin Fletcher.

The Sky lad then announced that Fletcher is a known beast. The fact hes still on tv and google gave me nothing to this effect points to this being wrong, has anyone heard different??

That's slanderous (or whatever the spoken one is).

What the f**k was this wee c**t telling you this for anyway? What a p***k.

Edited to answer the question. I saw him and his pals live at the hydro . Front row seats and he never at any point tried to touch me.

I hasten to add that I was there with my 2 year old daughter. I was having way too much fun to be able to say with complete certainty than he never beasted my wean though.

To make matters worse, when he was in full flight he mentioned Jimmy Saviles name and this passer by who obviously wasnt quick the full shilling shouted out JIMMY SAVILE CHILD ABUSE and walked on. It was all a bit surreal tbh.

I've never seen Jimmy Saville live at the hydro so can't fully comment. Google appears to have lower standards of definite beastliness though.

I dont think Tumble is a beast tbh. He us just an easy target.

Oh without doubt an easy target. He pretty much ticks every box of beastliness in every episode:

1. Receding hairline
2. Hangs about with vulnerable weans
3. Likes to 'dress up'
4. Man-bag
5. Likeable uncle personality
6. Works for the BBC

I should add that in all seriousness I think his show is absolutely brilliant, and has done a huge amount for children with disabilities. Definitely in no way a paedophile and the fact that so many people in our society are so ready to make assumptions and allegations is utterly, utterly depressing. The sky boy deserves a doing.

And meant that they could go back to the same place the following year.

I've never once used Whatsapp.

Not a question, just a statement.

You all know you don't have to join the various groups you're talking about don't you? That you can leave them at any time?

Part of it is just not wanting to be an arsehole about it. If I'm the only one to leave then it sort of looks like I'm kicking up a fuss over it. I'm thinking my philosophy might simply be to use it only when I'm at work. So I've been asked a few questions which are work related, but I'm still off for another couple of days, so when I'm back in I'll reply to them. Sort of create my own boundary. It consistently surprises me how much people want to talk about work when they aren't in, coming in on days off to sort out things, staying late. I might be odd but when my shift is finished I'm out of there. Obviously I don't like leaving things unfinished if I can help it but to me my life outside of work is far more important.

These people sound like arseholes though, so why would you worry what they think about you?

Folk who go in to work on their days off and who consistently stay late are the odd ones. In fact they're absolute fucking mugs who should be ridiculed and despised.

I'm the same in that as soon as it hits finishing time I'm away and my mind utterly switches off (although I have a massively unimportant job in admin). In fact I could work 2 days a week and do everything I needed to for the week.

I'm in a work whatsapp chat with 6 or 7 of the sound people within my office... 90% of the chat is taking the piss out of everyone else in the office and the other 10% is tits and football.

I can't see anything that could possibly go wrong with that.

Past few days I have seen a fair few folk going through reds at temporary lights for roadworks and the like, nothing coming the other way obviously.

Is this acceptable behavioir?

Yes, but only at maximum speed.

Wimp.

I was just correctly answering the question.

But yes, I am indeed a wimp (never been more wimpy than I am currently btw, sitting here at 8 stone (5ft 9", 2 and a 1/2 stone down on my usual) and struggling to climb a flight of stairs, waiting for the doc to call me back with a spare bed in ninewells).

I hope you feel guilty. I'm crying now.

You can use your discretion at all traffic lights, if there's nothing coming just go through, it'll be fine, trust me.
