Quick Question Thread

Yeah, but I'd rather not pay £20 for something I could get for £10.

That doesn't happen though. Remember you're only entering your MAXIMUM bid. If you enter a maximum bid of £20, and it turns out that the next highest bidder only entered a maximum bid of £12, then you'd win it for about £12.50.

I see. That's all right then.

Cheers.

No, I was actually thinking of playing darts with them, believe it or not.

I use reddragon darts. Check them out.

Loads of styles, and very reasonable.

A180 is another company.

All the best

Not a prob. They are far easier than just buying from jjb etc.

If you know someone who plays, ask them as well. Don't buy darts that look good, buy darts that suit you (sir :P )

How do you know if there any good or not buying online? I never know what i like until ive thrown them :(

I know what you are saying, hence asking someone who plays the game. Sounds daft but, slim barrels, thick barrels, long, short, medium stocks, standard, pear,or specialist flights.

My advice is try as many diff style of darts/combos as poss.

Get the weight of dart right and you are more than halfway there :)

I also have a bad habit of breaking darts, usually because they fall on the floor and bits snap off them or they get bent. I still want a good set though, but may struggle to keep them good ( I sound like an 8 year old boy here i know!)

STU, If u can, play where when the darts bounce out, they fall onto a mat, carpet and there are no furniture to land on. Also go for darts with a 85% tungsten rating or above. More hard wearing and a truer better dart.

MAD HOUSE!

Buying a rug for your darts?! It's going to end up being the most expensive set of darts ever bought!:P

But I'd go along with everything that Sam says, hopefully you get a set that suits you, if not, it'll be fun experimenting with it!

I actually had a rubber oche somewhere at my folks house. It appears to have been binned though and my board has been in my living room for a while. I'm actually playing with darts that 2 are the same and the other is well heavier. Still fun though

I've ended up with makeshift darts too! All three have the same barrels, but different stems! Occasionally works quite well!
