Smurph
I'm trying to connect my laptop to the internet. I have followed instructions on how to find my Security Key on my computer (Control Panel> Network and Sharing> Manage Wireless Networks> Properties> Security). It then said to click the "show characters" box, but this isn't highlighted and I'm unable to click on it. When I click on the password (which is in asterix dot things) it disappears. Do I type in a new password of my choice here, or am I doing something wrong?

Unless you've got a new broadband reciever altogether, the laptop should just connect to the network straight away If it's not and it's the same broadband you have, click the icon at the bottom right of your taskbar which shows the connection then click on whichever wireless connection is yours, it'll either conncet straight away or ask you to put the security key which you said you've found first before connecting. Fire the security key in there and you should be good to go. Edited December 25, 2010 by Father Jack

I have found where it is, but it's just ******** and it won't let me show the characters.

The password might be written on a bit of card attached somehow to it.

Donnyarb
Do you call "-" hyphens or dashes?
CM.
They are both the same thing. I tend to say dash though.

GingerSaint
Is there any difference between this and this? The latter is £5 cheaper with a free T-shirt, I find it bizarre. Edited December 25, 2010 by GingerSaint
Gaz
No difference at all, they're both the 12-month Live packages.

H Wragg
Can't decide on my favourite Kate Bush song, Running up that hill or Babooska. Neither. Hounds of Love.
H Wragg
What is the breed of dog which can best be described as having 'velvety' wrinkles on their face? They're a similar size to, say, a boxer. Edited December 25, 2010 by H Wragg

H Wragg
I was in Poland at the end of January a few years ago and they still had Christmas trees up, but I can't remember the reason why. Anyone?
Hedgecutter
If you're pissed and have the keys to a campervan (on the street say, would you be done for drink driving if caught trying to avoid a hotel fare for the night? Just wondering as I take it you would be done (if caught) trying to get into the back seat of a car for a nights kip even if you had no intention on driving.

My guess would be; If you are in the living area you are OK but if you are in the driving cab bit you are drunk in charge of a motor vehicle. Would be harsh to get punished.
