Is there none that open earlier than that, like at The Barras or The Budgie at the fruit market in Glasgow?

It wasn't unusual back in the day to clock in at 7.00am, then jump in a taxi to The Budgie for a curer and back to work about 9.30. Tea break at 10 to 10.30, then some hard graft until hitting The Station Bar at 12.00.

The Station Bar saw some powerful drinking from Northgate across the road...mate of mine worked there and I went up there a couple of times to meet him...always seemed to be one of those serious nae talking/keep drinking scenes though.

He actually ended up having a workmate stay with him for about two months...they were coming back one Friday lunchtime and the guard at the front door shouted the guy over and handed him an envelope. His missus had papped his stuff in a couple of lockers at Central and the keys to the lockers were in it...harsh.

How much would I be for a 3.5 ton skip for a weekend including a license for the road.

Also does it some with one of those handy bit of timber for getting my barrow up *kennwthwiliam.jpg* ?

Obviously but given none of them have prices on their website and I have to write off for a quote like it's the 80s I thought I would ask on here first.

It would be soil/rubble and possibly a medium to large woman

Surely you could use the woman as a barrow ramp ?

Has anyone else recently had the problem with downloading gifs/memes and you go into your gallery and they're not there?

If it's not my new S21+ continuing to be a useless piece of shite and me pining for a return to my S7, I'm guessing certain sites have a block on their images being downloaded.

"Can I have a skip in the road?"

"Aye, on you go, son. Do you mind if I watch?"

Is this a twist on the gay guy going into a butchers and asking for a mince round joke?

It was a bit mental in the early days when overtime was on offer every weekend for a few years. It meant kamikaze civil servants had the money to drink themselves to death in a much shorter period of time. The revolving door recruitment policy ensured any passing psycho was given a job as well. It was like the last days of Rome.

We're currently living in England and the kids are due to finish school on Wednesday. It's my dad's funeral a week on Thursday so I'm keeping them off all this week just in case they get snagged in a covid bubble thingy. His funeral was due to be on the 12th but my brothers daughter caught it so we had to rearrange.

I'm getting moaned at a lot, especially from my 14 year old daughter who's going to miss her last day at school, but would you do any different?

The majority of folk bagged the last day of school. Is there a reason she wants to attend? If exams are all done then I think it's a case of "tough". I think your dad's funeral is more important than a final day skive for your daughter IMO.
